Berlin will get a Ferris Wheel

Berlin prepares for the opening of a new attraction for its citizens and visitors. Great Berlin Wheel GmbH & Co KG plans to construct a Ferris wheel next to Berlin Zoo and has already paid the city €25 million for a plot of land the wheel will be located on. The wheel will be excellent for observation of the city landmarks and, according to the project proposers, will attract about 2 million visitors annually.

Called Der Tagesspiegel, the ferris wheel will have a total height of 175 meters – which means it will be 25 meters higher than the wheel in Nanchang, China, and 50 meters higher than the world-known London Eye in London. However, in 2008 Beijing will open a higher attraction, Great Beijing Wheel, 200 meters high.....All News
